ACE Fellow Appointment

(Academic Year 2023-24)

Dr. Lenford Sutton, professor and past chair of the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations (EAF) at Illinois State University, has been appointed as an ACE Fellow by the American Council on Education. During his eight-year tenure as EAF chair and professor, Dr. Sutton prioritized student outcomes and diverse enrollment in collaboration with faculty and staff. He transformed the P-12 administration Ph.D. sequence, aligning it with the Carnegie Project for the Education Doctorate program, emphasizing social justice and practical application. He also strengthened the relationship with the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), contributing to the nomination and mentorship of UCEA Jackson Scholars.
